Pedestal I - Bird's Eye
                            
                                                Uniquely designed mixed media art in the modernist style. Center form tapers to support
                                                a uniquely curved bird's eye maple top. The base has a matching curve to the top. All sides
                                                are slightly tapered inwards in a unique edge treatment. This combination of modernist style
                                                elements creates a pedestal form. The base and center form are solid cherry whereas the top
                                                is figured bird's eye maple. Surfaces are hand scraped and formed. Meticulous attention is
                                                provided to both detail and finishing. The wood is not stained and attains a natural patina over
                                                time and exposure to light. Finished with multiple coats of thinned shellac, polished and waxed.
